For the pleasure of choosing which carriage to carry
oneself from point A to point B, of course. :-)
Don't tell us, George, that you wear only one pair of shoes!
<smile>
I recently spent a very educational half day at the home of
a Japanese stereo enthusiast, and had the chance to
handle a number of cameras that I'd never seen: TDC
Colorist II, TDC Vivid, two Reveres (Ennar Chromar
lensed), Bush Verascope, Iso Super Duplex, Iloca Rapid
2.8, and others. He gave me the Iloca (!) and it's very fresh
(but needs a CLA before it can be used). (This may have
been connected with my having gotten him a Realist Macro
set that he wanted.)
Wow! What a .beautiful. camera the Iloca is! Realist
format, but not a Realist... An articulated rapid advance
lever! What a luxury, how convenient, and so "advanced"
(knob twisting not required). Built-in self-timer (as Richard
Twichell mentioned earlier), how thoughtful. 1/300th
second shutter, faster than almost any other stereo
camera of the age, great for hand-held shots! :-)
The Iloca is strong medicine, a nice remedy, just what I
needed to cure a budding case of the Realist Custom-is-
best virus I probably caught from a different camera. :-)
