You may have another alternative...

a popular UK magazine:
"Putting an E-6 process colour slide film through
colour negative C-41 chemistry or a C-41 negative
film through E-6 slide chemistry can give striking
pictures. You get negatives in the former instance
and slides in the latter. Most processing labs
will do this for you, but check first."
That's the good news. Here's the bad news...
"...cross processing causes a loss of film speed,
anything from one to three stops."
(And, the colors will be odd; the article
was intended for 2D photographers looking to try
special effects.)
But if you are looking to experiment, and don't
mind dark images with strange colors, you can
indeed transform that negative
film into positive slides.
