P3D Revere/Wollensack repair question

Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to repair a Revere/Wollensack
parallax corrector ??  I have a Wollensack that has a stuck/jammed parallex
corrector.  I thought of putting lighter fluid around it before I started
pealing leather.  Any suggestions ??  How do I get access to the inside ?

I just bought a copy of Dr. T's new Realist book.  If you need one book in
your library on the Realist, this is the one, very nicely done !
