I like my Pentax beamsplitter for the same reasons as Mark.
I have both 49mm and 52mm rings which means I can have the
splitter available any time I want to shoot in stereo, in mid-roll,
with any of my Pentax or Nikon cameras and with a variety of lenses.

I still like my StereoGraphic and my twin Nikon EM rig but I'm less
likely to have the former with me a lot of the time, and the latter
is too bulky for use when hiking, etc.
