As I understand it, the RBT unit has two interocular settings and also
variable magnification (within limits).  In addition, you get full frame
images and you are able to see your subject with both eyes! (via the
stereo viewfinders which are part of your RBT cameras which accepts the
macro unit).  I don't think there has ever been a (home-made certainly)
unit with this combination of features!
