P3D Realist and X4

The only way I can get the X4 images to rival the sharpness of my
Realist images is by use of a tripod. ( The S1 is a different story:-))
Of course at the 35mm focal length and using 5p mounts the images would
look similar. But consider all the focal length options, mounting
options ( 4p,5p,7p,8p) and threaded filter options that the X4 offers. (
not to mention 1/500 shutter speeds) So it would be fair to say that
many Realist shooters can look at my X4 images and agree that many of
these images could not have been taken with a Realist. And using 5p
mounts allows for tons of flexibility for window placement and " through
the window" effects. Even at the same focal length of 35mm, I can poke
your eyes out with objects through the window with 8p chips, but the 5p
chips offer little room in the 5p mounts. ( especially with a neutral
background where double depth mounting is not required) Don't worry
Dr.T...you will see these images soon enough during our next
competition! :-) Mark Dottle
