P3D Nimslo

Since I've had my Nimslo I have never used it for it's intended
purpose.....lenticular prints. I suppose adjacent close-up pairs could
be viewed in a Loreo type 4x6 viewer. Well....I guess not. 2 images
would not fit a 4x6 print anyway. Will I use this camera again? Probably
not. For close-ups
( chances are you'll never find me hunched over a flower) I prefer a
slidebar with my minolta 50mm f1.4 which is optically superior to the
nimslo. If I'm shooting close-ups in the first place I prefer to set up
tabletops on a rainy day, and not burn hours of beautiful sunshine
setting up a shot of an acorn under a tree.......sorry, just not my
style! :-) For prints nothing can be simplier than 4x6 pairs using the
X4 and the Viewmagic viewer. What a joy! I offset the prints alittle
while mounting and never trim the prints. I have a spacer on the
Viewmagic stand that crops the image slightly so trimming is not
necessary! Couldn't be simpler. But since I want to shoot " where the
action is" and stick with slides, I'll probably retire the Nimslo but
occasionally use the Optilite flash for fill......it's a nice little
flash! So keep an eye out in Sell 3D for a very clean Nimslo ( ND filter
set included :-)) Mark Dottle
