I had a similar experience. For three years in a row I had
photo Christmas cards made using internegatives of my slides.
I always included a match print for them. They turned out
beautifully and I got a lot of compliments. The fourth year
for some reason I can't remember I tried a different company.
When I went to pick them up, they were lousy. The clerk
argued with me. All I had given them was the internegative,
and it was too late to get cards made anywhere else. I still
had the original slide. So I walked out and left the whole
works on the counter. Never went back.
