P3D Hassy 150mm

Here's the way I figure it. A 150mm lens puts you about twice as close
as a normal 80mm lens (normal is 43mm on a 35mm camera or 84mm for 6x6
format or 32mm for Realist format). So 30ft would be about 15ft. 15ft.
is 180in.. So you can figure a stereo base of 180mm. (about 7in.) if you
use the 1in.=1mm rule (~1:25). Or 6in. if you use the 1:30 rule.

I always use the 1in.=1mm rule when doing table top close-ups.
10in.=10mm. My slide bar is marked in mm.

Which reminds me. How many of you carry a small tape measure in your
pocket or camera bag with both inches and mm? I find mine invaluable for
everything from setting cameras to measuring filters and formats at a
camera fair.
