For what it's worth I have taken a lot of snow shots with the RBT X3
(Ricoh XRX3PF based) using aperture priority auto exposure in
center-weighted mode and all have been right on (at least to my
tastes). One of these is going out in the Alpha K folio this time.
These have been in all kinds of different situations from noon sun in
open fields to early morning in dense forests.

I have also taken a lot of shots with dark subjects on light
backgrounds and light subjects on dark backgrounds and they have
all turned out. It is a very rare instance where the metering system of
the X3 is not right on.

Although I am not as old as most of you *{;-) I did come from the
'manual' days and I had a hard time accepting the auto-exposure
choices at first. I would use the AE lock to compensate and end up
with over or under-exposed shots every time.

By the way, I have the Harley, but not the Biker Babe (I don't think
my wife would like that label). If you could supply that I could run
some exposure tests and let the list know!

That's all for now,
