  10x doesn't sound correct for any slide format
bigger than viewmaster. IE that much magnification
wouldn't let you see the full 5 perf image.

  The Realist Red Button uses 44mm focal length
lenses. This is 250/44 = 5.7x magnification or
6.7 magnification depending on the method you
use (1+250/FL or 250/FL method).

  10x magnification, if true, implies a focal
length of 25mm or 28mm. Quite difficult for
a lens of useful diameter (for viewing) unless
it has 4 or more elements (double achromats
for example).
