P3D DrT's "sunny day rule"
OK, as BobH said, this is not *my* rule! It is public knowledge.
BobH has pointed out that there is only one rule, the amount of light
the sun emits for a wide range of elevations, is constant. The
rest are empirical extensions. As far as I am concerned, the amount
of light around us is much more constant and predictable that most
people think. Many people have managed to do well without a light
meter, by guessing exposures and, even with a light meter, this is
a good mental excercise. Unfortunately, I should be the last one
to say that... Now with the RBT S1 I have become the "average moron"
(as Mark Dottle said) who is happy with the results only he has no
clue why are the results good! :-)
