<< After all the talk about using a laminator for heat sealing mounts, I
bought the GBC Docuseal 40 from Staples for $49. A little expensive,
but I was in a gotta have mood. It works great. No heat adjustment
and none seems to be needed. It takes 2 slides at a time a hasn't
melted 1 chip. I have tried it with cardboard pouch and without. Both
work fine, but it loads a little smoother with the pouch. I've found
that occasionally, I have to nudge the slides through when they hit the
rollers. The end result is a perfectly sealed slide, much better than
I could do with the iron. >>
This sounds interesting. But how do you make sure the chips don't slip in
the mount as you're sending it through the laminator?
