P3D 1999 ISU Congress

Well, here I am on my way home from the ISU Congress in Lindau, Germany.

I couldn't post anything earlier because my "category 3" hotel didn't have a 
phone in the room...

Anyway there were, as usual, far too many slide shows to see, let alone 
mention, but it struck me that most boiled down to mainly a succession of 
pretty pictures. Sadly, most could also have benefitted from a degree of 
editing - the removal of the weakest 30% of the images would have resulted in 
stronger programs al round. 

Clearly, there were a number of shows that were (at least semi) professional, 
and these were a joy to see, but I also liked the seriously amateur - and 
seriously flawed - shows. At least they had done _something_ (which is more 
than can be said for me....!)

I loved meeting all the old and new friends.

All in all, a great convention - even if the organisation and technical 
arrangements were stretched to breaking point at times
