Yes, what you are missing is the fact that you don't
want to have 2 flashes. This should make things
easier for you. At least I wouldn't want 2 flashes.
You get wierd stereo shadows if you have 2 flashes,
and it is a look that I dislike quite a bit. I don't
know for a fact, but I would think if one flash is
bright enough for one camera, having another one just
to the side of it a few inches shouldn't make the
flash not bright enough for the second one.
