P3D Medium Format / Sputnik

Hello all,

My experience with the Sputnik continues to be very
positive.  It is certainly a handful to use and has limitations
(what camera doesn't?) and needs some modifications
for best results, but, with those shortcomings in mind,
the Sputnik is capable of producing reasonably sharp
images that, I think, are both technically and aesthetically
pleasing.

As an example, my wife and I took a trip to Hilton Head
Island for a couple of days and just "shot away".  Ektachrome
100VS was used. The Sputnik went everywhere -- the beach,
on the ocean, aircraft shots -- it didn't miss a beat.  Pictures
involving the horizon seemed to go on forever.  That's the idea, right?

Although maybe not for everyone, the Sputnik is a very
important tool in my photo bag.  Get 'em while you can!
