An upside down rebel poses some challenges. First, the rigging ( Z
bracket?) would have to be precision tooled to align the film apertures
to avoid vertical misalignment. Every function would become extremely
awkward. It might be possible that the upside down mirror would move if
bumped during set-up, causing a light leak? What if you wanted to change
settings after the tripod set-up? You'd have to bend under,twist your
neck...it would be easier to change a car transmission IMO. :-)
