P3D Stereo World in Libraries

One of the great discoveries I made here in Lawrence, Kansas is that the
University of Kansas art library has a near-complete "Stereo World"
collection, from the earliest issues to just a few years ago, in bound
volumes.  I have no idea who began the subscription, or why it was stopped
though I suppose it was for the usual bibliographic reasons - lack of
funds and perceived low user demand.

If, as I hope, I can eventually start a bit of a stereo fire here among
energetic young people, and perhaps even a local mini-club, maybe I can
find a way to re-start that subscription, filling in the missing years,
and convincing the library that it would be justified.  In the meantime, I
plan to catch up on my reading! ;-)

Anyone with experience in instigating and negotiating these things with
libraries is welcome to share advice and warnings.
