How interesting this discussion should come up. I just now got chastised
for having a Betty Boop coffee mug in my cubicle. A fellow worker said it
was not appropriate. I also got chastised for having a reproduction of a
poster used to advertise the movie Cleopatra I used as my Windows
wallpaper. She is lying on her side, low cut dress.

Keep in mind, the poster is a  reproduction and depict things that were
allowed to be publicly displayed in a time when any, and I mean Any of the
nude / semi-nude stereo images would have got you thrown in jail. This
shows that some segments of the public get too easily offended and want to
control everything we see and show.
