P3D Regarding Charles Query on the Nord Stereo projector

I have Nord projector. It is currently using two 500watt bulbs that are
easily available from Dalia and other sources. I believe they are the CZX
type. The projector's fan cools the system very well and my slides have
never been too warm. The one I purchased was in good condition, though very
dusty. I was easily able to remove all the internal pieces, clean them and
reinstall them in less than 20 minutes. The clarity and projection size is
vey good. One party suggested that the image size/screen distance was better
than his TDC! The Nord's design is simple, study, compact, and very easy to
maintain. I have never used a TDC or Compo, but I am very happy with my
Nord. The instructions are only 3 pages and are very sparce in information,
but it is very simple to see how to use the projector. The only complaint I
have is that some very thick slides may not smoothly pass thru the slide
changer and have to be manually pushed thru. Their cost is much less than
either the TDC or Compo alternates.
