Yes, someone has--it's called a beamsplitter!   :-)

Seriously, the Franka beamsplitter has an increased
stereobase of 110mm--but it does need front surface
mirrors. I have a set for mine, but must first pry/break
out the old ones. Then I can do telephoto shots with
an increased stereobase. I figure an 85mm to 100mm
lens should be just about right. I'll also have to
modify the Franka so the mirrors will toe out, but
since it's plastic that shouldn't be too hard.

Today I shot a soccer game in stereo for the first time.
I used the Stitz with an 85mm lens--it was pretty comfortable
shooting. Should have had a wider stereobase, but for only
an 85mm lens I think it won't be too bad. By next year I
should have the Franka ready!  :-)
