In digest 3553, BD Phillips writes, in part:

Anyone know where I can get a Pentax or comparable beamsplitter from a
reputable dealer? What is the width of the threads on this item?
Are there other options out there that work well and don't cost an arm
and a leg? I'm particularly interested in a beamsplitter that will fit
on a 37mm lens without getting in the way of the viewfinder

Any truly "reputable" dealer should be able to order one for you (if they
deal with Pentax at all)...I'd check with your favourite local specialty
dealer first. The last time I checked they were listed in 49mm & 52mm
mounting threads. Remember, though, that as a special order, they probably
won't offer a great discount (if they discount at all in Taiwan) and they
will probably won't let you cancel the order or return the item (should you
change your mind) without some penalty.
I have seen (at shows & such) vintage units from a variety of brands (most
I've never heard of) in smaller sizes (since many older lenses were smaller
than most modern ones) that might be perfect for you (there was an oldie on
e-bay recently...) Try:

or something like that.
Good luck,
