P3D FED back info, auto

Thanks for the information I received, that the FED back problem
is a common one. And it does look easy to fix.

Now I'm pondering why it gives only 1/30 at f/2.8 when set to
"auto." The metering system is not completely dead, as the
shutter release still locks at varying light levels depending
on the setting of the film speed dial, and it locks on "auto"
with no battery.

I guess these are hazards that come with buying a used camera. :-/
I'm still working on the puzzle.
