Ray Moxom already answered Howard D Wade's question from
P3D 3569 in P3D 3571.
I don't know what is in the 'pdf' version article on the F40
(like to get a copy too), but one of the differences
between 5P camera's, Belpasca's and Verascope 7P camera's
is the "built-in" window.
For 5P it is 7 feet, the Belplasca has about 10 feet and
the Verascope none (which in fact is a window at infinity).
Supposing that often pictures will be made with subject
matter between 7 and 10 feet, the "window" of both Verascope
and Belplasca will been violated, but more so in the
Verascope pictures, where all of the pictures will be in front
of the "window", when not properly mounted.
So, in setting up a "7 feet window" in mounting, more of the
Verascope pictures has to be masked off than of the
Belplasca ones. This limits the choice of masks.
