P3D Nimslo closeups and making a Teco-Nimslo

I take closeups with my Nimslo using 99 cent eyeglasses. Two plus 3
eye glass lenses taped together fit nicely over two of the Nimslo's
give me a 6 inch or so focus point. I screwed a retractable antenna to
the bottom of the Nimslo and marked places that match whatever lense
combination I'm using. When I shoot, I extend the antenna and swing it
out of range of the viewfinder. That way I can shoot butterfies
without even looking through the viewfinder.
Also, I've cut the teeth off the gear of my Nimslo and so far it seems
to be a fine home made teco-Nimslo. It is very easy to remove the
bottom plate to get to the gear. After removing a few screws, it can
be taken out. Make sure you watch the location of the teeth before you
remove it. I used a marker so i could figure out the correct teeth to
remove. I figured, you would want the teeth that are engaged with the
other gear when the camera is cocked to be left intact.
