They were sold at the trade fair of the ISU congress in
Lindau (Germany) last September.
I heard someone (I believe it was Hugo de Wijs) say about
them: "I never understood anyone liked those prism viewers".
The KMQ viewers give considerable color dispersion due to
the rather strong prism angle (Newton after all used prisms
to investigate colors).
Before the KMQ viewers were made there has been a very
similar prism viewer brand called Nesh, also from Germany,
with a smaller prism angle, and therefore giving less color
fringes. But that viewer of course must be held at a longer
distance from the pictures, which then look smaller.
I don't believe the Nesh is for sale anymore, but the KMQ is.
They are in the catalog of a German mail order company,
Brenner-Fotoversand, http://www.brenner-foto.de/
The "KMQ-Prismen-Sichtgerät" is listed as article nr 670880
for DM 11.50. Enter at "Suchbegriffe" (keywords): KMQ.
The site is only in German, but try the site translation service
recently pointed at by Gabriel Jacob:
http://babelfish.altavista.com/cgi-bin/translate (this is a
little cumbersome with frames)
The company doesn't offer the possibility to order by
creditcard, but they will accept postal money orders and
send abroad (you could try to email them first in English).
