  Auto exposure will almost always be a disappointment when shooting slide 
film if you think the system is going to allow you to take one shot each time 
and nail it.  If it's used to get you in the general range of a proper 
exposure and then you bracket, this is somewhat realistic.  I will always 
think it better to determine exposure with your own brain and then bracket.  
Even if I possessed the perfect auto system, I would still shoot a slightly 
lighter and slightly darker version for different viewing systems.  I will 
concede that auto exposure might be useful in candid shooting in rapidly 
changing lighting.  Even in these situations, a facile human brain will 
usually outperform a camera brain.
