Nice hack!

However, with Realists having the larger rewind knob
(Customs, late models, or "modified" models), I can rewind
a 36 exposure roll in about 10 seconds using a two-handed
technique. Left hand finger touch down keeps the knob
from counter-rotating due to film curl, right hand palm edge
stroked along the knob rotates the shaft at high speed.
Alternate this action quickly, and the roll is rewound lickety-
split. Reverse the above if you're a lefty. Of course
standard rewind cranks won't fit the larger knobs, and the
regular size doesn't provide a long enough torque arm for
this technique. Best of both worlds? Or else two Realists
and an assistant is the only way to go for those continuous
shoots. :-)
