Hi Greg,
Thanks for the clarification. But even with video, I would still have to
disagree with you :-). I think the words "digital" and "video" are now
one of the same. I was surprised this summer, when I stopped off at home
for a couple of days (between flights) and saw that even my 70+ year old
parents have embraced the digital age, and purchase one of those digital
satellite dishes.

It's pretty amazing how clear the picture is (it's digital) with no sign
of any compression artifacts, and the number of channels that they can get,
as well as the information they get about each program (title, actors, time
remaining, etc.) and internet access. Too bad they have this all linked to
their old RCA colormatic television with the oak veneer sides.

However, when your thinking digital, your only limited by bandwith, which
is only getting vastly bigger every year. Next big thing for movies is to
download the whole film digitally to the theatres, thus saving the cost of
making, and sending prints. Hollywood is already spending millions in
research in this direction. For us 3-D'ers, I think that the number of 3-D
movies, and TV will only grow in the future with the new technology, makes
things cheaper and easier.

Vincent.
