P3D Image Overlap

Hi folks, I am interested in some feedback from the group on a problem I seem
to be having with one of my Realists. Of course my first step was to refer to
my copy of DR Ts fabulous new book on the care and feeding of the Realist,
but this is probably the only snag to which I can find no reference. Very
simply put my problem is this: on my first roll of film through my new
Realist (and to some degree occasionally on my old Realist) I get an image
overlap of perhaps 1-2mm. This only happened on 3 or 4 images but I'm trying
to decide if I have a real problem here. This same camera managed to strip
the sprockets out of a roll of Fuji Sensia about halfway through. I rewound
the film, and carefully lubricated the winding and rewinding mechanisms,
along with the film transport sprocket. They do seem to move more freely now.
But since the film transport sprocket only serves to meter the film, could
this image overlap, along with the stripped sprockets be an indication that I
am overwinding when I advance the film? This group has served me very well in
the past with answers to some of my silly questions, I look forward to input
on this problem.
Respectfully submitted:
Mark Hatfield
