John,
Would it be possible for you to post a summary of this
to the list? Just an idea.

I'd appreciate it as well. Just got back recently from Philadelphia, where I
shot several rolls at the Rodin Museum there (as yet mostly unmounted, no
time!). I'd been told two years ago when I attempted the same thing that I
wasn't allowed to use a tripod or a flash, so this time, I came prepared with
a light meter and one of those rope "tripods" described on this list several
years ago. Did three rolls (2 Sensia, one Scala) and they seem to have come
out all right (with a little bracketing). Most of my exposures were about 1/15
@ f/4.0. As I was leaving, I complained to the guard about not being able to
use a flash, and he said, "No, it's okay to use one." After a few mental
expletives deleted, I resolved to come back later with a flash (Vivitar 285
with supplied diffuser) and more film. Guess what; as far as I can tell, the
non-flash shots are better, as the flash created distracting highlights on
the statuary! (Did shoot one roll of Kodak Gold 100 during the second trip,
and had it developed E-6; don't know what that'll look like mounted. Doesn't
look like any great shakes on the uncut roll.)
