P3D Film Scratches\\\\\\\\\

While on the subject, I'm surprised many folks don't return the exposed
film rolls into the plastic cannisters before processing. The felt
strips trap dust, dirt and particles which can scratch film during C-41.
To help determine if the film was scratched by you, or the lab, remove
the stickers from your processed negatives ( these stickers may have
numbers printed on them to track orders etc) If scratches continue
beneath the stickers, then you or your camera are the likely cause. The
machine/lab is suspect if the scratches do not appear beneath the
stickers as these stickers are applied before the C-41 process. It is
also important to determine which side of the film has the scratches to
pinpoint the problem.
