P3D Re: processing woes

Friends, Greeks, Irishmen:

A while back I made a big stink about how, true to the Dottle Principle,
the surging mass market driven by morons had blithely o'erswept my poor
roll of E6 at a big lab and processed it as C41, leaving me with fruity
inside-out parade shots and a lame impersonal apology letter.  But, as I
have been reminded all too often, gifts of lemons should be made into
lemonade, so I mounted one of the monsters and viewed it.  I'm sorry to
report that I LIKE it, probably better than if it had come back as a
slide. So now I'm in an ethical bind:

1.  Do I owe the processors an apology for publicly scorning their
inattention, now that I know it improved my shot?

2.  Did the wise invisible hand of the mass market foster a climate where
my happy accident was bound to occur, thereby requiring me to apologize
generally to the morons?

3.  Dare I present these pictures to the 3D community as an artistic
accomplishment, for praise and appraisal, when I had no intention of
creating this effect that I now enjoy?
