Hello Greg,
I am not sure what I have for software drawing tools. I have AutoCad and
PowerPoint but I don't think I can produce a GIF or JPG file from these.
I could hand draw it and mail to you or somebody with a scanner.
I am thinking about building a "proof of principle" viewer. It would be
cobbled together with masonite and 1/4 inch threaded rod. Then just
Fresnel lenses and the diffuser. No glass. Lightweight. Then mail it to
anybody who wants to play with it. Fresnel lenses for the eyepieces
would have lots of chromatic aberration. But the principle proven is
that a single LED is sufficient to illuminate a 35mm slide if condenser
optics are used.
Any thoughts? Or is there an easy viewer to copy or adapt for this
project. Or recommended materials besides masonite and threaded rod.
Maybe a "toy" viewer that I can modify?
Anybody want to donate a viewer? I will need to remove or cut open any
existing diffuser. Then I can add LEDs, condenser optics, and a small
horizontal angle lenticular diffuser.
By the way, I have no stereo slides mounted as such. I do have my one
pair of 2x2's taken of the MD state capitol building in Annapolis.
Anybody want to donate a mounted stereo pair to test and travel with
this "proof of principle" viewer?
