Any chance of doing a drawing showing
all the optics you have in mind? (Showing
light cones etc). If you can generate
a gif or jpeg I'll put it up on my web
page.

I think I understand what you have in
mind but others may not, and a drawing
may show why a controlled diffuser is
what you need.
