I bought some of the W lenses so that
I could use my Red Button without wearing
my glasses (I have a -3.75 prescription).
The other planned benefit was that I'd
be able to see 7p images easier.
I had some minor difficulties mounting
them but I'm sure Dr T can handle that.
Once mounted I was able to view w/o my
glasses. But I found the W lenses to be
less sharp than my original RB ones.
The difference was primarily at the edges
so the improved 7p viewing was negated
by the lack of sharpness. The sharpness
difference was noticable on 5p images too.
It wasn't a focusing issue since I tested
with and without my glasses and attempted
to fine tune the focus for best view at
the edges.
In the end I put my RB lenses back in
and sold the W lenses at a loss on S3D.
That's my experience. Yours may vary.
