P3D Holiday Lights

I seems that the norm this year is to decorate with the little white
lights, especially the icicle lights falling from the roofs of houses.
And I agree that they can add a festive feel. But I am shocked and
disappointed with our famed outdoors "Pearl Street Mall" in Boulder.
Millions of lights everywhere you look, on trees, lamp posts, kiosks
ect. everywhere. But every single bulb is white. White, white, white.
The only colored lights I could find which the city installed, were a
few floodlights shining on the courthouse. I wandered aimlessly looking
for a colorful scene which would do justice to the Ektachrome in my
Sputnik and the Kodachrome in Ektar Realist.  I decided that someone
either got a great deal on white lights or they thought it would be
easier to coordinate the color(s).  I ended up taking a few pictures of
tail light trails and the theater which is colorful year 'round. I'm
sorry, but I believe that the holidays should be colorful. I hope I will
find some nice colored lights this year. And a little snow wouldn't hurt
either. It's been dry and warm as heck. So much for my 2 cents.
