Any unit which can be attached to the hot shoe should work. I would
suggest putting a hot shot to pc adapter on the realist and connecting
the flash with 3 to 4 foot pc cord. Hold the flash away from the
camera so fog won't be reflected directly back into the lens.
Set the shutter to 1/25 sec. It takes the blubs a momment to get
to full brightness. The bulbs burn slower than electronic flash
and movement of water provides a nice effect.
I wired a pc cord directly into my flash unit. Chis Howe has some
circuits for bc flash units in his "Cave Photography" book.
