Yes, I was serious and I was thinking more of 5+1 Dolby Digital Surround or 
DTS more than I was thinking of two [or three] speakers.  If you want to get 
the sound placement right, you're going to have a room of the right shape with 
your chair in the right place, otherwise the sound will be off - you'll hear 
the left channel before the right or the rears before the front or or or or.  
Yuck.
