P3D IR/nightvision sensor

A couple of years ago I mentioned the announcement of an IR
heads up display which had been developed which might be suitable
for automobile use (I can't remember the connection to stereo right
offhand :-).

I'm now seeing the first of these units are available on a "high tech"
model Cadillac. Interestingly enough it appears to be using the
same photos of the display which were in the original product
announcement.

At any rate, I wonder if anyone here has driven one of these yet
and if so, how well it might work in practice? From the photos
of the vehicle in the commercials, the sensor appears to be placed
in the middle of the front grill, giving it kind of a "mini Tucker"
sort of appearance..

THANKS
