Ahh yes..  If this is the same story I heard about, some
film collectors on the east coast have been hunting down
various flat prints of 3-D films from the 1950's and pairing
up old left and right prints. These had been split up and distributed
to theaters as 2-D prints after a dual strip 3-D film finished it's
3-D run. I understand at least a few "new" 3-D prints have
now been put together this way?  What a great idea.
