Yes - this is true. I thought I'd never see a naked eye visible
comet bright enough to see detail in the tail. I never saw
Khoutek (68?), and Halley's was a major disappointment in 
(86?). And then bam! two bright ones just a few months apart
(particularly Hayateuk (sp?)) in (95?).

I'm still waiting on getting to a bright auroral display, and the
ultimate - a total solar...
