Okay George, I want a free slide viewer too :-) :-) :-)
Actually, I want to applaud your efforts on getting "newbies" started in
stereo. I actually think you sent me some 8 perf slide mounts once and
I don't recall if I ever thanked you, personally or pubically.
I also want to thank Tim Klein, a long gone member, who helped me out in
my "newbie" days by providing me with a ViewMagic print viewer as a gift
for helping him find an apartment when he moved to Texas. I don't know
where he is now or whether he's still stereographing, but I appreciate
his thoughtfulness. BTW, he was a "print" man and told me he only had
one realist slide. It was a good one too from what I remember.
On a side note, I have a used Loreo which was purchased from a list
member. The insides were blackened to reduce the glare inherent in this
camera. I recently had three rolls from this camera developed and
written to Photo-CD (I wanted the Kodak Time/Life pictures) and would be
willing to place some of these on the web if anyone would like to take a
look (Teri?). Let me know. I think it'll be a slow day and if I can
figure out how to get out our firewall, I can get them there pretty
quick. They're not GREAT photos but they are of my kids, including
birth pictures of my daughter (no, not the ACTUAL birth! just baby
pics).
Also, maybe I've missed this year's posting, but what are the
recommended film and camera speeds (Kodak stereo) for shooting Christmas
lights on houses? And, what's a good yet inexpensive steal-the-light
viewer for something like this. It's been a while since my last stereo
shoot and I want to try out the new tripod I'm getting for Christmas
(honey, don't read this part. I don't know about the tripod yet!).
Thanks & regards,
Ron
