Well, actually, I like the personal connection with on-line friends who share 
an interest (obsession) in stereo.  Yes, I feel a warm connection when Dan 
tells us about his baby.  (Way to go, Dan!)

As for your obvious irritation with any particular member of this list, my 
unsolicited advice is to take a deep breath, count to ten, go for a walk (or 
anything else that appeals to you), and then if you still feel deeply 
offended, count to 100 and start all over again. I've been flamed and I know 
it's not pleasant.  I've also come perilously close to flaming others, on 
days when I just don't know what got into me.  Thanks to the resilience and 
generosity of those others (and maybe a little flexibility on my part as 
well), I now count myself lucky to be good cyber-friends even with people 
whom I have offended or who unknowingly have offended me.  Take it easy, Al, 
it's worth it.  And have a good, relaxing holiday.
