P3D I Didn't get it either!

I sensed there was a joke in the earlier discussion of the cyclops, and other
confusions, but I didn't get it either. Frankly, AT THE TIME, I thought you
were all just a lot of pompous and pretentious windbags, but the joke
affected me like telling someone in the Himalayas a joke about a hot dog, I
didn't know what you were talking about to begin with. I laughed, but
couldn't have told you why. I am glad everyone has relaxed a little because
now I better comprehend what you are all trying to say. For me, being
able to say, "I don't understand", is progress. There was a time in my
life when I could not have ever said that, to anyone about anything. Today
I met a man who said that he never actually understood the concept of
electromotive force, a biochemist! And a successful one too! Said he
memorized a lot of stuff. Sometimes there is strength in weakness.
Sometimes there is courage in vulnerability. And sometimes when we
feel foolish it helps to be able to laugh at ourselves. And to me this is
pertinent to the subject of ART, and these elements: honesty, vulnerability,
weakness, foolishness, all enhance, (not detract from), the effectiveness
of a work of art. We can be informative AND sound intelligent and relax
all at the same time, ooops, I mean, simultaneously. (well, you never know
when you know who may be watching : ) I really enjoyed your articles.
(and understood them). I would like to say that it use to bug me when I
had a thought and someone would say, "Oh, so and so said that in this book,
or that book, as if they were saying, 'too late, that's already been done',
but now, I look at it like this: If someone that great has already said it,
then I must be pretty special. Have you ever found yourself thinking
about something and then there it is right in front of you? .......well, lost
my train of thought, (whew! whew! chugachugachugachu...), had to go
referee an argument between my 2 girls and their 2 friends and I do that
by letting them talk it out until everyone understands everyone else's point
of view. That's why they all want to live at my house- I listen to them.
Their parents don't, so they say. aaaah! perception-a scarrey creature.
It makes monsters where there are none. Did you know that children call each
other ugly based on, not the way they think someone looks, but act?
How enlightening that is for me. I wish you could see how creative my kids
are, and because I listen to them and tell them they're creative, they
become more and more creative! Isn't that cool!?! However, I do wish
I hadn't let them watch Austin Powers, sometimes in their creativity they
look like little adults, and that frightens me. They don't really realize
what
they are doing and I am afraid that someone might misperceive their play,
and misjudge their character. WhAT PeRtAINS tO LIFE PErTAINs TO
aRT !!! I must warn you all, the wider your bandwidth, the more weirdos
you will attract ! Caution my friends! I, personally, am getting a P.O.
Box.
for all future transactions. Seriously. definition of weirdo: someone who
can relate to no one and sets out to destroy. I have met and dealt with
two people that everyone around me and that knew them considered
potential evil doers, but they did not harm me and I was able to help them
get where they were going, mentally and materially. Fatuous? Don't think
so. Not me. I hold your contempt in my hand.....examine it, find myself
there and let the rest fall to the ground. You like that? I wrote it. Bye.
Love ya,
Teri
