Umm, no I'm pretty sure this isn't intentional. They really seem to know
their stuff when it comes to stereo. In fact six years ago they had pairs of
stereo slides at their both at a computer trade show. The side-by-side
stereo pair that I rendered from the same animation did not show this
defect, in fact it looks great. No doubt the bug is a temporary problem.
