P3D Re: ISU and Stereoscopy

Three additions to my ranting:

One, I of course know that it is Don Wratten, not Bob (we have so many
Bobs here) - I seem to get everyone's name fouled up at least once.

Two, my complaint about the benefits of ISU membership is not so much the
issue of how the editors of Stereoscopy are doing at any time, but rather
how so many skilled and experienced members seem to produce so little
material for publication, and how little the substance of the congresses
seems to filter down to the non-attending members - leaving a void that
gets filled by the sort of fluff I complained of.  I can't afford to
consume that.

Three, it is an implied criticism of any lurking persons (not Don!) who
withhold their contributions from P3D because it is an unseemly place,
filled with blabbering characters like me.  Drown us out!  A forum like
this is what the participants make of it, so participate and make it
better.  I am always happy to sit quietly at the feet of the masters, but
when I hear them snoring or muttering only to one another, I can't fight
the urge to set their sandals on fire...
