P3D The Continuing Saga of "VM Virtual Viewer with achromats"

I was able to insert achromats from Berezin (www.berezin.com/3d )in my
Virtual VM. I was happily surprised that I was able see clear images without
the use of my eyeglasses, which are about OD:-5.00 and OS: -5.50. I don't
recall the focal length I used, but you could request that Berezin send you
the same pair he sent me about 9 months ago. Okay, no one else can see with
my Virtual viewer, but I can see great! And since I am so near-sighted,
using this lens setup without my glasses on, makes the images appear at
least 30%-40& larger than using a standard Virtual viewer with my glasses
on!

I had to only use a little sand paper and a Dremel to get a firm, but
moveable fit of the lenses, using the Wollensack/Revere holders that came
with the lenses. Of course I had to remove the plastic supports used to
contain the original plastic lenses.

I guess you could move the lenses inward/outward about a half-inch, which
may be just enough for people with -2.00 to -6.00 eyeglass prescriptions.
It's been a long time since I was an optician, so my estimates may be off
somewhat.

Thanks,

Al
