P3D Re: Articles

Just a short note about using material from P3D in publications.

1. Although P3D is considered a public forum, it's generally considered
good netizenship to obtain permission from a poster before reproducing
their comments elsewhere (this was thrashed out a number of years ago).

2. From time to time I am challenged to justify using the university
resources here to support P3D for free. It is HIGHLY desirable from
my standpoint to have the college name (Rocky Mountain College) 
mentioned in connection with P3D whenever it appears in a context
that can be construed as promoting the interests of the college (
ie, student recruitment, technical expertise, etc etc etc)

It was fairly easy to do such things back in the early days of the
Internet, but today with 160 million pages, using the Internet has
lost it's "Gee Whiz!" quotient as a defacto medium, and bean counters
want to see concrete results (like things in print).
