P3D Re: Another Dali mystification

Ha!

Without Abram on this list, I would be laboring under nothing but
misconceptions!  He takes the prize, thought the contest was based on a
tempting myth.

I was misled by no less an authority than "Stereo World" (Vol. 3, No. 5,
Nov-Dec 1976), in a review of the congress by one Connie Hitzeroth, who
reported her conviction that after hours of lectures, debates, discussions
and meetings, Dali "was the cognac after the coffee."  Nowhere in the
article do the names Descharnes or Tavlitski appear, nor clear indication
that any but the great bamboozler himself addressed the conferees! 
Surrogates?  This is infamy - could Dali have concocted such deception
himself?  The truth lies shrouded in the misty horizons of 3D history...

Well, mystification (or poor reprting and editing) aside, the article does
reproduce the souvenir Abram mentioned, an envelope with the non-stereo
version of the logo and a stamp affixed, if anyone cares to see that.  The
title of the logo (I fear not Larry's wrath!) is translated there as "The
Cyclopean Eye".
